sounds like the name of a Big Bang Theory episode which it isn’t I think. The title is what goes on in the default node network of my brain like an alarm clock set for two minutes after I have left home and am on my way somewhere. The impulse starts with the coffee. Did I leave the stove on under the coffee? No? Maybe? Why can’t I fix this moment definitively? Some days, I have to fight off the turn around impulse, some days not. The coffee pot is never on when I get home. So, why the impulse. I used to think the impulse was a reaction to not wanting to be going where I was going. Now I’m seeking a hard wired by evolution answer on the order of make sure the fire in the cave is out before you go out to gather berries.
