Going to a Broadway show is a special treat like ice cream. Going to a Broadway musical is an extra special treat like homemade ice cream. Going to a Broadway musical with a showstopping number is like homemade ice cream with raspberries on a hot day.

This show is about two brothers who compete with Shakespeare [note Shakespeare appears in the play]by putting on a musical. I’ll play the New York Times, who never likes this type of comedy, and say this is not Kiss Me Kate. In fact, I predict that this musical will run for a long time because tourists will like the comfort of its derivative air. But I did too. And that mashup air, that mix of high and low also makes it Shakespearean.
