As every good Jew should, I went to a movie on Christmas day. My choice was Night of the Museum 3.

As every good movie that is shown on Christmas should, the movie contained a Jewish joke told by Ben Kingsley no less. And as a Mixed Up Files fan, I am still charmed by museums that comes to life after dark. But I found this movie sadder than funny. To continue the after dark theme, the reason is that Ben Stiller was so focused on putting a stake through the heart of the Night at the Museum franchise and writing The End in big letters in the sky, the atmosphere of closure made the presence of Robin Williams disturbing in the way a Shakespeare tragedy is disturbing. Ben be careful what you wish for.
