The bullet points of this program were:

  • Everything is mobile [though one panelist said the past 14 years have been the year of the phone]
  • Everything is social networking
  • Everything is big data

These big messages translate into silly to me serious to marketers stuff like monitoring twitter so you can find out that your consumers create  or want to learn how to create Oreo shishkabobs. But they also translate into serious to me because alluring to marketers stuff like using mobile devices to beam product specific advertising in supermarkets.  I want to blog separately on De Lillo’s White Noise as a possible candidate for the one [Living Great Writer], but bring the novel in here because he gets that relentless manipulative push on us to consume.
