This week’s field trips:

The Marijuana Policy Project held an event here to raise $ for ballot initiatives in Colorado, Arkansas and South Dakota and to honor three cannabis activists. The usual colorful characters were there but also a few more suits. Take a look at the dizzying number and variety of posters; my favorite was the Marilyn Monroe skirt lifting photo as a hologram.

Poets House and Storm King held a poetry reading here. Four poets read; I lay on the ground and looked through the leaves of an oak tree. Have you ever looked back at NYC from the water? If you haven’t (and I hadn’t), then you haven’t seen NYC.
